Question by IdeaMan: How arduous is it to get a full time job at a community college teaching mathematics?
I am take into accounting going back to college for a Masters degree in mathematics, and then teaching math in a community college. How hard is it to get a full-time position in math at a community college? Can anyone point me to consequentlyme serious research? I?m told by consequentlyme (guidance counselors, profs with tenure) that there is a fleetinggage of mathematics teachers nonetheless I have not seen any actual data to back up this claim. I?m told by others (unemployed or underemployed liberal arts majors) that it is impossible to get a full time teaching position at a community college.
I like math, nonetheless I don?t intend to to go back to college and then find out it?s impossible to get a job teaching math.

Depends on where you are. Here (metro Detroit) you need a Master?s Degree and a pulse.
